Vertical Church Barelas is a church community located in the heart of Albuquerque. Meeting in the historic Mount Calvary Church building, we are a Gospel-centered, worship-focused church that worships God and carries out the Great Commission in our neighborhood.

As a location of Vertical Church Albuquerque, we share the same mission, vision, and values, and live them out in a way that is contextualized to the unique people and culture of the Barelas community.

About the Lead Pastor: Zach Grafe

Zach Grafe is a native New Mexican and has lived in Barelas since 2011. Zach and Anneliese were married in 2013 and have four children: Titus (8), Micah (5), Talitha (4), and Lydia (3). Zach served as an associate pastor for over eight years at an Albuquerque-area Southern Baptist church and in summer 2019 felt the call to begin ministering in his home community.
Zach and Anneliese met while attending Texas A&M University and have led worship, youth, and young adult ministries together, as well as several international mission trips and partnerships. They are passionate about worship, community, and seeing God's glory increase throughout the city of Albuquerque.
