Vertical Church has been family to me. I've made many great friendships with all the varying age groups at our church. I've made connections through Sunday services, Women's Ministry, Small Group, and the Young Adults Ministry. From the various members at this church, my character has been influenced and has grown to be more generous, loving, gracious, and hopeful. I've been ministered to in multiple ways that has reminded me and my family of our purpose, value, faith, and hope in God's Kingdom. I've grown in my understanding and discernment of God's Word and in loving people and mankind in general. I've been challenged and loved and comforted through Vertical Church. God has blessed me and my family through this church body.

When Pastor Jeremy shared his testimony -- busted, saved by Jesus alone -- at the Step 1 meeting after church, Colette said with 100% confidence, "That's my pastor!  He's real and transparent."  We love that God is at work in all of us at Vertical.  We are reassured that all things (both trials and celebrations) work together for our good and for His glory.  Through our Vertical community of believers, God demonstrates His love and support in tangible ways.  During worship at Vertical, we experience God's peace and joy without limits.

I have attended Vertical 2 years since moving to New Mexico and definitely found a church home.  God has used sermon, Bible studies and small group discussions to teach me more about having a meek and quiet spirit and depending upon him to in situations where I am not able or lack influence.

I arrived at Vertical last April feeling alone and hurt from our previous church, but JT found friends he knew from track and immediately liked this church. The preaching was solid, so we stayed. I was quickly invited to multiple small groups and someone I had just met threw me a birthday party at her house! I felt immediately connected, became a member, and was encouraged to use my spiritual gifts to serve in children’s ministry again. I even got to design my own curriculum! JT’s baptism in November was hugely significant for both of us. Then when I got Covid in January, people brought me meals, groceries, and even did errands for me that I was unable to do while sick in bed. We were invited into someone’s home to celebrate Easter together because we’re part of the same church family. At this church, it’s both declared and shown in numerous ways that I am loved. Vertical Church, you are my people, and I love you too!

What an incredible two years it has been walking alongside this church. When Rob met Zach in June 2022, I had no clue things would change so much in our lives. I officially met the church for their 4th of July celebration. From that day, I have always felt like we were welcomed with open arms and part of a new family. We had told Zach and Anneliese our story and what we had been through before meeting the church. WE told them about how we had been wanting to get married for a while now and just seemed like every obstacle was getting in our way. By August of that same year, we were taking pre-marital classes with Zach and planning a wedding. We were in a very difficult spot financially and we had thought a wedding was just not in the books for us. Zach, Anneliese, and Vertical Church opened their doors and hearts to us and got us married in September of 2022. Showing us that it's not about having a big flashy wedding. They showed us what matters is that we get married for God, not just for us. After being together for almost 10 years, this was so very important to us. A few weeks before our wedding, we were both also baptized - something else I never thought would be in our lives.
Since then, we have both grown so much in our walk with Jesus. Living our lives for Him. Rob is an usher of the church and part of the welcome team. I, myself, serve in the children's ministry, volunteer in the homeschool educational co-op, and help with the welcome team. Being members of this church is an honor. Being able to give back, not just financially, but with our time means so much to us. I am so excited to show our boys how important it is to make Jesus and the church a priority in our lives and pray they will follow in our footsteps. I love seeing them grow in their faith in JEsus and hearing them believe and trust in the Lord as we have done these past two years. Thank you Zach and Anneliese and thank you Vertical Church.
