Vertical Kids

Who We Are

Vertical Kids provides biblical teaching and vibrant worship each weekend for children 6 weeks old through 5th grade.  Our goal is to help our kids take a step of their own toward faith in Christ.

What to Expect

Vertical Kids is a great environment for kids to come and gather with other kids in community as they worship together, have fun, and most importantly, learn about the Lord.

We offer a worship experience for our kids three years old (and potty trained) through 5th grade that helps them take a step toward owning their faith in Christ. We do that by offering fun, safe, and engaging lessons that teach our kids how to spend time with God, spend time with others, share their gifts, and how to share their story. We also offer a loving and safe nursery for our younger kids 6 weeks old through two years or until potty trained.

We hope you and your kids join us this Sunday! (Check in starts 15 minutes before each service.)

This Month's Series

Kids love to be in the kitchen. They may even love helping prepare something delicious! Having a plan or a recipe usually helps, too. Just like having a plan in the kitchen helps the meal we hope to enjoy, the stories of the Old Testament prophets are like a cookbook that helped people prepare for the Savior that God would send one day. Even though there’s no exact recipe, kids will find that they can prepare themselves for a loving relationship with God when they 1) trust God, 2) talk to God, 3) listen to God, and 4) leave the results to God.

Step one, trust God (1 Kings 17:8-16)
This week, we learned about how God prepared Elijah and the widow at Zarephath during the famine.

Ask This
Because sometimes you and your kid need a conversation starter that isn't, "So . . . how was church?"
  • What did God promise to Elijah when God sent him to Zarephath
  • What are some things in your life you can trust God with right now?

  • What message did Jeremiah give to God's people?
  • God chose to save us even though people keep choosing to disobey God. What does this tell us about God?
